Breast cancer is an epidemic affecting millions of women around the world. Although there is no safe way of prevention of breast cancer, there are many things you can do to decrease the risk of developing the disease naturally. 1 – Maintain a level of health in body mass index. Overweight women are much more likely to develop breast cancer, and when they do, are also significantly more likely to die.The relationship between body weight and breast cancer rates is even stronger in postmenopausal women. 2 – Exercise regularly. To obtain the maximum benefits, vigorous exercise for a minimum of 45 to 60 minutes at least 5 days a week.In addition to aerobic exercise, strength training is important and should be done at least twice per week. 3 – Limit alcohol consumption.

Drinking more than two glasses of alcohol a day may increase the risk of developing breast cancer by more than 20 percent. 4 – Avoid the use of replacement therapy hormone (TRH). If you need to use HRT, which do so with the lowest possible dose and discontinue as soon as possible. 5 – Contemplate the substitution of oral contraceptives with other forms of birth control. Research has shown that oral contraceptives increase the risk of breast cancer, and that the risk continues for up to 10 years after you stop taking them. 6 – Breastfeed for a year or more.

This decreases estrogen levels, which, in turn, decreases the risk of breast cancer. 7-Do not smoke. If you smoke, quit.If you are frequently near someone who smokes, encourage them to quit smoking.Second hand smoke can increase your risk of developing breast cancer, especially if they are frequently exposed after having gone through the menopause. 8 – Check your levels of vitamin D. Deficiencies of vitamin D has been correlated with an increased risk of breast cancer, what is important to make sure that your body has one sufficient amount of vitamin D. During your next physical inspection, consult your doctor to order a test to determine your level of vitamin D in serum.If it is low, you can increase exposure to the growing Sun, take a supplement, or eat foods rich in vitamin D, such as salmon, mackerel, and catfish. 9 – Reduce your exposure to light at night. You can do this by installing opaque curtains in the bedroom.If you use a bedside lamp, use red or low wattage bulb.If you can, avoid turning on the light when you go to the bathroom. If you must use a light, use a lower power to reduce the risk. 10 – Avoid heterocyclic amines (HCA). HCA are chemicals that are formed in the meat cooked at extremely high temperatures.Most often found in meats that have been grilled, roasted, smoked, or blackened.If you have to eat meat that has been prepared in this way, choose leaner cuts, use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking, and the use of a lower temperature when the Grill.In addition, the application of a marinade of herbs in the meat can reduce levels of HCA. 11 – Install a filter to purify the water. 12 – Avoid cooking food in containers of drinking water from plastic bottles and plastic.
