Color Sonograms are the Better Alternative to a Prostate Biopsy
Repeat sonograms are an accurate, safe and painless way to detect and monitor Prostate Cancer, Breast Cancer and other forms of Cancer at an early stage.
For decades, American urologists have made needle biopsies the cornerstone of their prostate diagnosis, often ordering them immediately following an abnormal PSA test. However, more and more evidence is emerging which states that prostate biopsies are not only dangerous (a biopsy can spread cancer, among other things) , but also that most are completely unnecessary. In fact, according to the National Cancer Institute, between 70 and 75% of men who undergo a biopsy because of an abnormal PSA do not have cancer!
